should the authorities be able to snoop through your online activity?

If that thought causes you some concern then write to parliament about the new Lawful Access Bill coming soon. here is a good cbc radio 1 clip on micheal geists blog. he is a law prof at u of ottawa who specializes in internet law.

I think that this seems a little to american for me. as mentioned in the clip it imposes higher costs on isp's and grants access to people's personal information online. i'm sorry but I don't think the authorities have the right to check through my emails to my family and friends. I feel that if any law like this exists there must be big privacy safe guards to check and balance the system. and they shouldn't be able to use anything they find for whatever reason.
